From:

Dear Sarika,

This e-mail is in response to your Texas Public Information Act request below.

In accordance with Texas Government Code § 552.222, the University seeks to discuss with you how your request might be narrowed. After beginning the process of compiling the information, the University has determined that there are numerous emails that are responsive to your request as worded and it would result in a high cost being imposed on you. In order to ensure that the cost to you remains low and still provides you what you are interested in obtaining, the University would like to see if you would be willing to narrow the scope of your request to information since January 1, 2018, to exclude the term “Ice” from the search as that term results in non-relevant e-mails such as emails containing Rice University, to exclude news articles and other listserv emails, and to exclude any item that does not relate to the subject matter of undocumented students.

Please simply respond to this e-mail and let me know if you are willing to narrow the scope of your request in the manner suggested. The University is required to inform you that if you fail to respond to this e-mail seeking to narrow the scope of your request within 61 days, your request will be considered withdrawn.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,
