Pursuant to Hawaii's Uniform Information Practices Code, I hereby request the following records:
–A list of every hospital, clinic, or other institution that provides sexual assault forensic exams administered by a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in the state of Hawai'i.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Aloha,
We received a written request for a list of every hospital, clinic, or other institution that provides sexual assault forensic exams administered by a certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) in the state of Hawai'i. We are not fulfilling the request for several reasons. The Honolulu Department of the Prosecuting Attorney is not the clearinghouse for or keeper of this information. And our office has jurisdiction in just one of Hawaii's four counties, not the entire state. We prosecute crimes in Honolulu County which encompasses on the island of Oahu. The other three counties in Hawaii are Hawaii County, Kauai County, and Maui County. Please feel free to call me if you have additional questions or concerns.
