Pursuant to the Minnesota Data Practices Act, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 13, I hereby request the following documents:
Copies of formal reports or raw data showing the payments made to the members of the Hennepin County Library Board in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 for items such as reimbursement of travel expenses, per diems, or other related payments.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Hennepin County Library is able to comply with your request for information regarding HCL Board member per diem and travel for 2011,, 2012 and 2013 year-to-date. As you may be aware, there are 11 Library Board Members, generally 11 annual meetings, special meetings, and various committee meetings they attend. They may also attend the American Library Association, Public Library Association (biannual) or Minnesota Library Association meetings.
HCL will charge you our costs for the clerical time to gather, compile, image and provide any follow-up information you request. Please confirm that you intend to proceed with the request and we will provide you with an estimate.

I've been advised that you have indeed identified the primary cost (pull of archival records). If we search current accounting records, the cost is $60. Do you wish to proceed and method of payment?
