Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

- Any course materials (including but not limited to course guides, syllabi, handouts, Powerpoints, slide shows, presentations, audio recordings, video recordings, and homework assignments) used for the class "The Evolution of Radical Islam," taught by Officer Abe Ashabi of Embassy Consulting Services.

- The contract awarded to Embassy Consulting Services to teach this class.

This class was taught in partnership with the Henderson Police Department on March 16, 2018, and may have been taught on other dates as well.

I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am a reporter for the National Interest, and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity.

The National Interest is widely recognized for its reporting, publishing regular features on issues of public interest and importance. After researching our training departments records we can
confirm that the course in question, The Evolution of Radical Islam, was
prepared, taught, and presented entirely by the Embassy Consulting Services, LLC, by Officer
Abe Ashabi.
The Henderson Police Department's involvement was solely as
a host venue for the course, which was held at the North Area command training
room, on March  16, 2018.
Any course materials (including but not limited to course
guides, syllabi, handouts, PowerPoints, slide shows, presentations, audio
recordings, video recordings, and homework assignments) would be provided by the Embassy
Consulting Services.

Hello,

Thanks for your response. Can you please provide the related contract that was awarded for the course?

Also, if there were any handouts provided, I would still like those; I understand that while they may still be under copyright by the original creator once provided to participants they'd become public records as well.

As I previously mentioned in the last email, there are no known contracts for the course in question.

Also, any handouts, materials, or any other teaching tool used at this course was solely provided by, originated by, and held by the teaching agency and or their instructor.

Officer Abe Ashabi was the teaching instructor representing the teaching agency, Embassy Consulting Services, LLC.

The Henderson Police Department's involvement was solely as a host venue for the course, which was held at the North Area command training
room, on March 16, 2018.
