Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
All data, statistics, or reports from the year 2015 regarding incidents involving firearms, including but not limited to:
> firearm-related homicides
> firearm-related assaults
All data, statistics, or reports regarding matters pertaining to gun acquisition, licensure, use, and transfer, from the year 2015, including, but not limited to, the following:
• the issuance of firearms permits and licenses.
• the revocation of firearms permits and licenses.
• the sale and purchase of firearms.
• the transfer, either out-of-state or between individuals, of firearms.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Please limit your search to all records from the year 2015.

Wanted to go ahead and touch base with you on this portion of the request : "All data, statistics, or reports regarding matters pertaining to gun acquisition, licensure, use, and transfer, from the year 2015, including, but not limited to, the following:" The Sheriff's Office does not have any information regarding these matters. Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services handle all matters regarding concealed weapons permits. I believe the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives would handle the rest.
Regarding the request for incidents involving firearms, I know you will need homicides and assaults. Your request reads including but not limited to. What other types of crimes do you need? This agency does not have any report that will pull this information.

Hi,
If your agency only has a report that tracks homicides and assaults that is fine. Some other agencies have also kept track of armed robberies in the same report.

Thank you for the response. I have pulled the homicide cases, assault cases and robbery cases for 2015.
We are a very small county and don't actually have "in house" reports. I was able to run the UCR reports and find the homicide, assault and robbery cases involving firearms. Do you actually want a copy of the report or just the numbers?

Report for Hamilton County, Florida.
In an earlier response to a question I had, you indicated you would like
reports. If that is still the case, please let me know. Some of the
reports are very extensive and cannot be emailed due to the large number of
pages.
