PPE - Green Bay Police Department

Pursuant to the Wisconsin Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Since November 1st, 2019 to the present, I request a copy of all invoices, orders, and communication by the Green Bay Police Department in its quest to obtain personal protective equipment. I believe at least the following two officials had plans to purchase N95 masks and there should be records for them: Operations Lt. Brad Strouf and Sheriff Todd Delain. However, I am looking for all information that these two officials may have had with other vendors, contractors, shipping companies or similar.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for your work on compiling these records, they are very helpful for what we are looking for. I believe I am missing a few records however. The documents are missing some communication between the Sheriff Todd Delain and the distributor. I read online a comment made by the Sheriff that, "Everything was fine one day, but then we got a notice from the supplier that the federal government was going to take them all," Sheriff Todd Delain said. But the documents appear to be for orders and nothing else. I should have clarified in my initial request that we were also looking for communication about the orders with the distributors.

I understand, it was unclear to me that the Sheriff was not part of Green Bay Police Department. I will follow up with Brown County separately. We can consider this request closed.
