Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following records:

All available materials regarding the sale of the North Maine Utilities water and sewer system by the Village of Glenview to Aqua Illinois. Please include all available materials created during the initial discussion, the sale, and post-transfer. Please include the following materials, in addition to any other possibly responsive materials:

• any initial reports or proposals regarding the potential of sale of North Maine Utilities or justifications reasons for retaining or selling NMU
• any advertisements, calls for Expressions of Interest, or equivalent requests for bids of purchase
• all responses provided in response to any advertisements, calls for Expressions of Interest, or equivalent requests for bids of purchase
• Village of Glenview 2016 Schedule of Budget Effects of the above sale
• Village of Glenview Schedule of Water Rates and Consumption Fees for the most recent ten years available
• all materials related to the sale and transfer of ownership of NMU to Aqua Illinois
• all invoices, checks, or other financial materials regarding financial arrangements regarding the sale of NMU
• all contracts, memorandums of understanding, memos, or other agreements (and all relevant attachments and exhibits) between the Village of Glenview and Aqua Illinois, including but not limited to those detailing commitments to freeze rates
• all communications between representatives of this office and any and all representatives of Aqua Illinois

This request is being made as part of an ongoing journalistic investigation. The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

* all communications between representatives of this office and any and all representatives of Aqua Illinois" , the Village needs to assert the 5 day extension to respond as provided by Illinois State Statutes 5 ILCS 140/3 (e) (i) "the requested records are stored in whole or in part at other locations than the office having charge of the requested records"; 5 ILCS 140/3 (e) (iv) "the requested records have not been located in the course of routine search and additional efforts are being made to locate them"; and 5 ILCS 140/3 (e) (v) "the requested records require examination and evaluation by personnel having the necessary competence and discretion to determine if they are exempt from disclosure under Section 7 of this Act or should be revealed only with appropriate deletions".
