Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All emails and meeting minutes for members of a lethal injection protocol committee, or equivalent regulatory body, regarding the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present. If there is not a lethal injection protocol committee, then any and all meeting minutes and communications within the Department of Corrections that mention the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

REQUEST: All emails and meeting minutes for members of a lethal injection protocol committee, or equivalent regulatory body, regarding the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present. If there is not a lethal injection protocol committee, then any and all meeting minutes and communications within the Department of Corrections that mention the lethal injection protocol and/or lethal injection drugs from 2010 to present.
RESPONSE: Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 42-5-36(d)(1) and (2), "the identifying information of any person or entity who participates in or administers the execution of a death sentence and the identifying information of any person or entity that manufactures, supplies, compounds, or prescribes the drugs, medical supplies, or medical equipment utilized in the execution of a death sentence shall be confidential..." Therefore, the records requested are not subject to disclosure under the Open Records Act. O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71(a).
