Good afternoon,
Your recent correspondence requesting material related to redistricting has been forwarded to the Office of Legislative Counsel for response.
The Georgia General Assembly and its members, staff, committees, and offices are not subject to Georgia’s open records laws. Institute for Justice v. Reilly, 351 Ga. App. 317 (2019), cert. denied, 2020 Ga. LEXIS 146 (February 28, 2020); see Coggin v. Davey, 233 Ga. 407 (1975); O.C.G.A. § 50-18-70(b).
The General Assembly has made publicly available materials related to Georgia’s redistricting process accessible via the internet. These materials, whether from the Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Office, the House Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment Committee, or the Senate Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee, can be viewed on the General Assembly’s website (https://www.legis.ga.gov/). You may want to start your review of such documents and information by going to the Legislative and Congressional Reapportionment Office webpage (https://www.legis.ga.gov/joint-office/reapportionment). As the redistricting process continues, additional documents will be made available on the General Assembly’s website.
