Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
The current roster of sheriff deputies, active or on reserve, as well as a list of all previous sheriff deputies employed at any time from January 1, 1999 to the day of this request.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

While we wait for the attorney general, could I get the list of current deputies, as of the date you received my initial request, that are not shown as undercover in Exhibit B? I only saw inactive and reserve deputies in the last set of documents. I'm concerned about the list of current deputies changing by the time the appeal/litigation process has concluded.
If you are unwilling to release it now and if you aren't already doing so, could you please make sure to preserve such information as it was on August 12, 2019?

Dear Katie Lentz,
Could I please have the roster in its entirety (it should have other information like badge numbers, hiring date, rank, index number, etc.) with undercover agents and personal information redacted?
Hiding columns for redacting information is fine; however, please don't hide or re-sort and cut off rows to redact information as I would prefer you to white-out or black-out in those situations.
If your inactive roster has any additional information like the above, I would also like a copy as it is with what can't be shown also redacted.

Please note that I made two requests in my first communication:
1.) The current roster (you received that request as of August 12, 2019) of sheriff deputies, active or on reserve.
2.) A list of all previous sheriff deputies employed at any time from January 1, 1999 to the day of this request (August 12, 2019).
In regards to my first request, a law enforcement roster file should have not only their names but other information such as badge numbers, hiring date, rank, index number, etc. I wish to inspect that record (or records if the active and reserve rosters are kept in separate files). Please provide a duplicate of this file as of the date you received my request in its entirety besides the information that must be redacted.
If you do not have the roster file as of August 12, 2019, then please give the current version with the necessary redactions.
In regards to my second request, you gave a list of names titled "Active," "Inactive," and "Reserves" in your responsive documents. However, I do not know what date or range of dates your documents pertain to as you did not provide such information. Please provide that information so I can know that you have fulfilled my second request.
In future correspondence, please provide direct communication to me and direct information on documents given when you are providing them so I know what they are.
