LAW DIRECTOR LAUREN GARDNER RESPONSE (October 20, 2015):
Dear Mr. Matteson,
In response to your public records request dated October 15, 2015, the City of Geneva has reviewed all of its records pertaining to our police involvement with Hayden Long. We have only one record that responds to your request, and it relates to a single car traffic accident that occurred on August 10, 2015. The record includes one traffic crash report, 21 photos and one traffic citation. We will certainly forward this record to you, but I am writing to inquire whether this is information you wish to obtain. Since this record involves a teenage boy, I want to make sure that our response isn't "over" inclusive or over broad.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Lauren A. Gardner
