Any and all documents and materials pertaining to the deployment of electro-magnetic pulse devices in Garland, Texas.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Your request for “any and all documents and materials pertaining to the deployment of electro-magnetic pulse devices in Garland, Texas” is vague to the degree that the City cannot determine what is being requested to produce. If you wish to do so, please clarify your request in writing, more specifically identifying the information you are seeking.
Please be advised that if by the 61st day after the date of this request for clarification, the City, through this office, does not receive a written response from you clarifying your request, your underlying request for information is considered to have been withdrawn pursuant to Section 552.222(d) of the Act.

I would like any and all documents to include correspondence such as electronic mail messages via email from terminals in vehicles owned and operated by Garland Police Department and from any terminals owned and operated by the Garland Police Department and instant messages from the aforementioned terminals, as well memorandums, training manuals, standard operation procedures, and purchase contracts and requisition orders for the aforementioned EMP devices that the Garland Police Department has pertaining to their use and possession of a electro-magnetic pulse device for the purposes of improvised explosive device mitigation, detection, and/or activation.

We are still unable to process this request because it is vague to the degree that the City cannot determine what is being requested to produce. You requested “any and all documents”…. However, you did not provide a time period that this request covers. In order to provide you with a cost estimate to provide this information, we would need a specific date range.
