Brightbytes models and policies (Fort Worth Independent School District)

1) All documents outlining current predictive risk models developed as part of the BrightBytes Early Warning system for all schools in the district (and by grade, if applicable). To clarify, I'm requesting the documents that lay out how the models weigh the 24 indicators the BrightBytes Early Warning system monitors in each school. 2) All district and/or school policies governing how teachers, counselors, administrators, and other school staff should use the early warning system. This should include directives to staff about implementing the proper interventions and monitoring for at-risk students.
3) All published studies, white papers, or other research provided to the district by BrightBytes regarding its products.
4) All guidelines, user manuals, or other informational material provided to the district by BrightBytes regarding its products.
5) All contracts and privacy policies between BrightBytes and the district. Your request will be forwarded to the relevant District department(s) to locate the information you seek and to determine the volume and any costs associated with satisfying your request. You will be contacted about the availability and/or provided with copies of the records in question. In an effort to ensure the safety of both our students and our employees during this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, beginning March 16, 2020, all District administrative offices are closed. This does impact the Fort Worth ISD’s response to your public information request. In addition, the District was also closed on September 7, 2020 for Labor Day.

This letter serves to advise you that Fort Worth Independent School District cannot produce the information requested within ten business days from the date we resumed operations. The information you requested, to the extent such records exist, will be available no later than October 13, 2020 at 5:00 PM. We will make every effort to produce any responsive records sooner, if possible.
