Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:

- Partnership agreements or memorandums of understanding between the university and the following companies issued between 2005 and the time this request is processed.

- Any subsequent reports issued related to those agreements or partnerships between 2005 and the time this request is processed.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Mr. Nash:

The University of Florida acknowledged your request. Unfortunately, we cannot give you an estimated expected date upon which you may receive documents requested. We have contacted the department that may have the documents. If there are documents responsive to the request – our general counsel’s office will determine if there is a cost associated with compiling those files. If there is a cost, I will contact you. If there isn’t a cost, the General Counsel’s office reviews the documents before release.

Florida law requires that UF respond in a reasonable amount of time to public records requests and we are working to ensure that requestors receive documents – if determined responsive – in a timely manner.
