Kyra:

There are no records responsive to your request. CHARTS does not contain this level of detail, nor do we have a report available such as this.
Data requests fall under F.S. 382.025 and this would be subject to that specific criteria.

Thank you,

Hi all,

Thank you for your response. We were told recently by the Florida Medical Examiners Commission that as of mid-August, medical examiners in Florida will no longer assume jurisdiction of deaths due to COVID-19, unless the death meets other jurisdiction criteria, such as death due to trauma, violence, acute intoxications, accidental deaths, etc. in accordance with Fl.S. 406.

They asked us to contact the Department of Health for further inquiries on COVID-19 statistics for deaths that occur after August 14, 2020. Please let me know if you have any advice about how best to go about seeking this data if the health department is not the correct destination.

Thank you for all of your efforts on this.

Best,
