Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

A census block-level file of the official redistricting dataset drawn on for the maps displayed in the mapping tool published on https://www.floridaredistricting.gov/. A CSV file is sufficient, or if that does not exist, whatever file was used to display those maps.

This data should include the 231 data points used in the map-drawing application in use for the 2022 Redistricting Cycle, as noted in the Senate brief filed with the Florida Supreme Court on 2/19/2022, in a file called Filed-02-19-2022-Senate-Brief-SC22-131-Appendix.pdf 11-47-34-471.pdf.

I am requesting all of the data used for the application, which, as noted in the brief referenced above, includes data points are in the following categories:

-2012-2020 General Election Voter Registration Information;
--Registration by Party
--Registration by Race or Ethnicity
--Registration by Race or Ethnicity and Party
--Registration by Party and Race or Ethnicity
-2012-2020 General Election Voter Turnout Information;
--Turnout by Party
--Turnout by Party and Race or Ethnicity
--Turnout by Race or Ethnicity and Party
-2012-2020 Primary Election Voter Turnout Information;
--Turnout by Party and Race or Ethnicity

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

A response to this request will be given in a reasonable amount of time. Should this request result in an extensive use of Senate information technology resources, clerical or supervisory assistance, an extensive use fee estimate will be provided for approval prior to processing the request.

The Senate provides this response pursuant to Article 1, Section 24 of the Florida Constitution, section 11.0431, Florida Statutes, and Senate Rule 1.48. Under Article 1, Section 24(c) of the Florida Constitution, each house of the Legislature is exclusively authorized to adopt rules governing the enforcement of the maintenance, control and disposition of public records with respect to their own public records.

The Senate will be in contact should any additional information be needed. Otherwise, a notification will be sent once the records are ready for release.
