This is a follow up, with additional, more specific information, on an earlier FDLE inquiry I had made.
Pursuant to Florida's Sunshine Law (Fla. Stat. secs. 119.01 to 119.15 (1995)), I hereby request the following records:
1. Any FDLE records, investigative reports etc. on a Richard Royden McCleary and/or associates in Florida/Maryland that were involved in a rather extensive drug trafficking operation out of Vero Beach and/or Key West Florida to the Ocean City/Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland area.
The drugs were smuggled into Florida and then flown by private and/or chartered aircraft into the Ocean City, Maryland airport and/or Salisbury, Maryland airport, for distribution and sales, where allegedly a portion of the drug money was being laundered through the Netherlands Antilles to purchase real estate, etc. in Florida and/or the Berlin, Maryland area in particular, possibly a development known as Ocean Pines

And from the above referenced article excerpted from the 9th paragraph:
"that had been smuggled from Florida aboard a plane chartered by a Vero Beach firm that McCleary once owned".
Apparently, Richard McCleary was a board member of the Indian River County Planning and Zoning Board prior to and/or during the time he was involved in this drug trafficking operation.
Allegedly, at some point in time, possibly 1998, McCleary was extradited from Florida to Maryland.

4. The annual operating budget for 2011 and 2015 for the FDLE "Executive Investigations Div." The FDLE division that is supposedly tasked with investigating "Public Corruption in Tallahassee and the State of Florida".
5. The annual operating budget for 2011 and 2015 for the FDLE "Organized Crime Div."
6. The annual operating budget for 2011 and 2015 for any FDLE division tasked with investigating and/or combating human and/or drug trafficking.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public.

Sunshine Law Request: FDLE investigation into drug trafficking between Vero Beach/Key West FL to Ocean City MD late 70s to 80s
Searches were conducted through FDLE's databases for Richard Royden McCleary. Searches were negative. FDLE does not have records responsive to your request.
FDLE does not have a separate budget for public integrity, drugs, and/or human trafficking. We have a budget for our Investigations and Forensics (IFS) Division. The investigation of public corruption, organized crime, drug crime, and human trafficking are included in the types of investigative activity performed by the members assigned to the Division. The state's budget is authorized on a fiscal year rather than calendar year basis (July 1 - June 30).
IFS - Investigations annual operating budget (includes sworn and civilian members assigned to investigations in IFS)
FY July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011: $86,742,262 (554 positions)
FY July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015 $69,107,197 (567 positions)
Regarding the remainder of your request, searches were conducted through FDLE's files for records based on the information you provided.
