To Whom It May Concern:
I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on July 11, 2016. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.
Thanks for your help, and let me know if further clarification is needed.
Dear Ms. Russell,
I did not receive your previous request.
Please be advised that the Fall River City Council did not enter into executive session for the years 2010 through 2015.
If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact me again.
Hi Ms. Bouchard,
Does the Fall River City Council discuss union negotiations, litigation, personnel disputes, etc, in open session? It seems extremely unlikely to me that any city council could go five years without having to enter into executive session once. Are you sure that's accurate? Thanks!
Yes, I am certain. The City Council does not handle union or personnel matters.
You may want to contact Joseph Macy, Corporation Counsel for the City of Fall River at email@example.com<mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org>.
Just to be clear, are you telling me that the Fall River City Council never meets in executive session for any reason?
They have not met in executive session.
Good morning Caitlin. I just left a voicemail for you.
I apologize if my response was confusing. The Fall River City Council has never entered into executive session for any reason. Although they have the ability to do so under the guidelines of the law, they have never chosen to do so.
I hope this provides clarification.
Have a good weekend.
