Pursuant to the Oregon Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

Good morning Mr. Captain,

I am writing in response to your public records petition below. I have been in contact with OSP and they advise that they are not the custodian of the records you seek. They explained that all investigative materials were transferred to the Troutdale Police Department in 2013, and records relating to your 2014 interview with Trooper Meyer were transferred to the Fairview Police Department. Under the circumstances, it does not appear the AG can order OSP to disclose the records you seek. And based upon this information, I recommend you re-submit your records requests to the Troutdale and Fairview PDs.

Please let me know if you would still like an order from the AG addressing your petition, understanding that such an order will likely deny your petition because OSP is not the custodian of the records you seek. If you do not need an order from the AG, we will close your petition effective Monday, July 20. Please let me know how you would like to proceed by Friday, July 17.

This was a Fairview PD case (Fairview is now Mult. County Sheriff's Office), lead detectives were Fairview Detectives Robertson and Vining, case 13-490859. If Gresham detectives assisted on this case, all materials, notes, evidence, call, case materials, would have been turned over to the Fairview Detectives to maintain with the original case. Gresham police does not have any records in response to your request. I would suggest forwarding your request to:
