Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am searching for any and all police documents and audio footage pertaining to the Jonathan Edington case in Fairfield, Connecticut. His date of birth is October 29th, 1976, and he murdered a man named Barry James on August 28th, 2006. My request includes but is not limited to 911 recordings, police interviews with witnesses and/or the perpetrator, police reports, affidavits, and any other relevant documents.

I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. ยง 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

I have completed your request and the total cost will be $27.00. The only items available are the police reports. This case never went to trial and the court ordered all seized items destroyed.
If you are still interested in receiving the reports please send a SASE large enough to accommodate 57 pages of documents and a check or money order for the amount above.
