Communications
From: CJ Ciaramella
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All internal and external communications regarding Dallas Northington, a loss-prevention officer at a Leesburg Target store, between May 16 and May 31, 2014.
For the purposes of this request, I also ask for any communications that include "Worthington" or "Target." This includes emails, memoranda, and all other records created that fall under Virginia public record law.
The Washington Post reported that Worthington had been fired after reporting an alleged shoplifter, who is suspected to be a Fairfax County sheriff's deputy, to the Leesburg Police Department on May 27: http://m.washingtonpost.com/local/target-security-officer-fired-after-reportingshoplifting/2014/07/10/f3d6f606-0854-11e4-bbf1-cc51275e7f8f_story.html
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
CJ Ciaramella
