Good afternoon Evanston PD,

Please re-open this FOIA because I do not consider it closed. In my initial request I was expecting the physical contact cards because they contain more information than what is provided on your website/data dashboard. Furthermore, I wanted the physical contact cards because there have been discrepancies on the data dashboard regarding Field Contacts. The Evanston Police Department has produced these Field Contact Cards in previous FOIA requests.

This website (https://www.cityofevanston.org/government/departments/police/reports/investigative-stops-field-contact-cards) states there were 1542 adult contact cards in 2017, yet the EPD dashboard states there was 263 contact cards in 2017.

Additionally, even though the Field Contact Card information is on the EPD dashboard, the data is limited. It is the same issue as with the IDOT traffic/pedestrian stop data; the EPD sends IDOT much more information about the stops than what is reported on the EPD dashboard.

Please re-open this request. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
Austin Spillar

Hi,

I am following up on my request for the physical copies of the contact cards for 2019. I am not satisfied with being pointed to the data dashboard because it does not contain all of the information that is filled out on the contact card.

Thank you,
Austin Spillar
