Good Morning,

I am in receipt of your public records request dated 10-15-20.

The copy I received via fax is unclear in a couple of places, please provide me a new copy.

Because the amount of records requested and limitations to staff at the Elko County Sheriff's Office, the requested records will not be available until November 12, 2020. If you would be willing to narrow the request to be more specific, the Elko County Sheriff's Office may be able to produce the records more quickly.

I look forward to receiving a clear copy of the request and additional communication from you in regard to this request. I can be reached directly at the number below or via this email address.

Thank you.

From: Elko County Nevada Sheriff's Office

Good Morning,

In response to your request for public record, I will be providing the following files on a disc via US Mail:

Four files of the Elko County Sheriff's Office Domestic Violence Statistics for 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

You will also find the training documents I use in teaching reporting and classification to ECSO deputies and support services assistants. Classification of reports is in accordance with the FBI's 2019 National Incident-Based Reporting System User Manual in conjunction with their 2019.2.1 National Incident-Based Reporting System Technical Specification. Prior to June 2020, we classified reports using their Summary Reporting system (SRS) User Manual. You may reference the FBI manuals via their website.

Finally, you will find our Policy 516_Reports-Completion, Submission, Approval and Distribution.

The statistics for emergency and non-emergency calls for service have been requested from our dispatch center. Once I've received those, I will forward them as well.

The disc containing these files will be placed in the outgoing mail to leave our agency Monday, November 23, 2020. Again, I apologize for the delay in providing this information to you. Staffing shortages are causing significant challenges in our agency's Support Services Division at this time.

Please indicate receipt of this email with a response. Also, please do not hesitate to contact me if you require clarification of the information you will be receiving or require further assistance. I would be happy to speak with you and can be reached at the number below.

Thank you.
