Dear Ms. Lipton : as the attorney for the East Feliciana Sheriff's office I have been asked to respond to your Public Records request of July 6th , 2016.
All of the equipment and information related to same in the East Feliciana Jail are owned and maintained by the East Feliciana Policy Jury with the exception of the Work Release Center that the Sheriff maintains.
Thus any request other than for the Work Release Center should be addressed to the Policy Jury.
However , please note that in both facilities there are no logs and/or documents that track average temperatures in either facility.
The documents relating to the Work Release Center are being researched as they are not readily available for copying. I hope to have them this week and will scan and forward same to you as soon as I receive them.
Should you have any questions please call or e-mail me.

Dear Ms. Lipton : As can been seen from the attached invoices , a new A/C was installed in January of 2015 in the work release center that the Sheriff operates and is responsible for the maintenance on same . There are also invoices for various service charges , but they seem to be related to heating issues and not the A/C, other than for filters for both systems.
These are the only invoices the Sheriff has and of course the local service agency ( Marshall Smith Heating and Air ) is called if a problem exist.
The Sheriff has no fans in the facility and there is no cooling monitor for the Temperature other than by the thermostat and no records are kept on temperature readings.
Should you have any additional questions please contact me concerning same.
