We are looking for all documents related to the Downey contract with Accela to purchase Accela permitting software, including the original contract, the date, implementation and maintenance costs, total cost, contract duration, and all services rendered.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Desmond,

The City of Downey is in receipt of your public records request dated August 10, 2017, for copies of the City of Downey Contract with Accela, including the date, implementation and maintenance costs, total cost, contract duration, and all services rendered.

The City is fully committed to making the requested documents available to you. Accordingly, please find the attached documents responsive to your request. In addition to these, there are twenty (20) pages in hard copy format responsive to your request.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 6253, you are required to pay the cost of duplicating the documents prior to the City providing them to you. Your request comes to a total of twenty (20) pages which can be duplicated at a cost of $0.60 for the first page; $0.10 for each additional page. Please provide payment in the amount of $2.50. If you would like the documents mailed to your attention, please include a large self-addressed stamped envelope or include an additional $1.82 in your payment for postage, for a total payment of $4.32.

Please submit your payment in the form of a check made payable to the City of Downey and mail to: 11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, CA 90241, Attn: City Clerk's Office. You may also visit City Hall to submit your payment and pick up your documents.

Please be advised that the City does not have to provide copies of any privileged documents. While we have tried to remove all privileged documents, the inadvertent inclusion of any privileged document does not constitute a waiver and we ask you to notify us of any privileged material that is inadvertently provided.
