Pursuant to the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A log of the arrests made at protests in Detroit from 5/29-6/3 that includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following information:
-name of the person arrested
-permanent residence city listed on the ID of the person arrested
-permanent residence state on the ID of the person arrested
-description of citation issued to person arrested, if applicable
-race of person arrested
-time and date person was detained
-location person was detained
-time and date person was released
I can accept this data in whatever file format is easiest to export from your data platform, including CSV, Excel file types, and the database itself.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
