Dear Ni Xu,

This will confirm receipt of your open records request on behalf of MuckRock News dated February 6, 2020. An assessment is underway to determine staff services and costs to fulfill this request.

According to the policy of the City of Des Moines, the first 15 minutes of staff time towards determining and fulfilling a request is without charge; however, staff time spent on a records search beyond 15 minutes is calculated by multiplying the base hourly wage of all of the employees who work on the request times the number of hours spent on the search to the nearest quarter-hour increment. Fees are charged for copying, faxing, document scanning, CDs, postage and other costs when applicable. A deposit of one-half of the estimated cost of fulfillment must be submitted to the City of Des Moines prior to further staff time being expended on the search. It is anticipated that an estimate will be available within the next week and, once available, it will be forwarded to you for payment. The remainder due will be calculated by the actual amount of time expended and any copy fees, etc., required to fulfill the request and will be due prior to receiving the documents.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Lisa Mickey

Dear Ni Xu,

This email is in response to your open records request to the City of Des Moines dated February 6, 2020, wherein you ask for "a catalog of all Enterprises Systems, including CRM (Customer Relationship Management, e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and Adobe Marketo), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning, e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP Cloud, and Workday), and iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service, e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, SnapLogic, Dell Boomi, and Jitterbit), that are used in all departments, including 311, police, permitting, finance, etc. The catalog contains the current system vendor, system product name, and system's purpose."

Attached please find a document listing applications by product name currently used by the City of Des Moines. A document containing a catalog of all Enterprise Systems used by the City of Des Moines containing system vendor, system product name, and system's purpose does not exist and, as you may know, Iowa law does not require the City to create such a record.

Fulfillment of your request took less than 15 minutes of staff time, so there will be no charge.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Lisa Mickey
