To Whom It May Concern:

Please consider the following a request pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act and the
Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act.

If you are not the proper custodian of records for this request, please forward this request on to the proper custodian.

I am requesting the Denver Police Department Operations Plan(s) for "Baltimore" or "Defend Denver" related protest activity on April 28, 2015, and April 29, 2015. This request may be understood to include, but is not limited to: any "Operations Plan" document(s) related to protests over two days- a protest on April 28, and another on April 29. I request any "Operations Plan" document which would have been in use by the department during demonstrations of either or both of these dates as well as any other documents related to police activity concerning demonstrations on these dates.

If you deny this request for records in whole or in part, I ask that you provide a written statement explaining the reason for the denial that cites the legal authority that is the basis for the denial. If any of the requested records are in active use, in storage or otherwise unavailable at this time, I likewise request that you provide a statement informing me of the reason they are currently unavailable and a date and hour at which time the records will be available for inspection.

I kindly ask that the custodian handle this request as a separate matter from other requests I have made or will make, and that any information about the availability of records or fees to produce records related to this request be conveyed in a manner specific to this request, and not combined with information from other requests I have made.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
