RE: Freedom of Information Act Request

I am writing to confirm receipt of your request dated June 12, 2018 and to introduce myself as your point of contact for your Freedom of Information request. I have received your request for metadata of all emails sent from and email services managed by this department during the month of January 2017. Emails within the following parameters:

· From email addresses

· To email addresses

· Cc email addresses

· Bcc email addresses

· Time, and date

DTI is in the process of locating and gathering documents which may be responsive to your request, and whether they are public as set forth in the FOIA statute. Some of the records you have requested may not be public records for the reasons set forth at 29 Del.C. § 10002(l). In the event that any records responsive to your request are deemed non-public, DTI will provide you with the reasons for its positions and provide you as many non-exempt public records as possible. Because your request will require that DTI obtain legal advice, may result in the gathering of voluminous quantities of records, and may include an investigation into records which may be in storage or archived, DTI is unable to comply with the time parameters normally required of FOIA responses. 29 Del.C. § 10003(c).

Please allow 15 business days to review your request, investigate what documents may be available, and determine whether these documents are public records as set forth in the statute. Pursuant to the Delaware Freedom of Information Act, 29 DEL. C. Ch. 100 and 29 DEL. Code §10003, once the State determines that the information is eligible for public release, I will contact you with the cost estimate.

If you have any questions, please contact me at 302-739-9849 or by email at chris.cohan@state.de.us<mailto:chris.cohan@state.de.us>.

Hello,

I understand a lot of time has passed since this request - but it seems we never received the letter and there was no attachment on your last message from 8/13/18. Is it possible to have it sent via email again?

Thank you for your help!
