This email is my third request to obtain a status update on my FOIA request. The previous requests for a status update were sent on 5/5/2015 and 5/14/2015.

In response to your request dated March 20, 2015, regarding “copies of all e-mails to or from the following email address for the time period of January 1, 2014 to present: Kevin.McDerby@state.de.us<mailto:Kevin.McDerby@state.de.us> …”, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security (DSHS) required the services of the Department of Technology and Information (DTI) to obtain the requested records.
The DTI estimate for this request is $50, which covers the staff time to extract data that meets your criteria from our email archives. The tasks that are involved with compiling this e-records request include:

· Configure search strings

· Conduct search

· Scrub results to ensure no unintended content is included

· Compile results
· Commit results to media

The fees have been calculated at the current hourly pay grade of the lowest-paid employee capable of performing the service pursuant to Title 8 of the Delaware Code, Chapter 1000.
After DTI compiles the records, DSHS is responsible for redacting any emails deemed to be non-public, as defined by the FOIA Chapter of the Delaware Code at 29 Del. C. Chapter 100 Sec. 10003, including emails to/from the Controller General's Staff, General Assembly and staff (29 Del. C. sec. 10002(l)(16); 10003).
Please note that these are estimated costs incurred by DTI, not the DSHS.
