To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request for records from Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addition & Mental Health Services (henceforth, ADAMHS), pursuant to the Ohio Open Records Law, on behalf of WIRED magazine.
WIRED requests the following records, created on or after January 1, 2018:
1. Any and all communications between any representative of ADAMHS and any representative of the company Alphabet, or its subsidiary companies, including Verily. ADAMHS has been described by Verily as being involved in the establishment of OneFifteen, the nonprofit it created to work on opioid addiction in partnership with Kettering Health Network and Premier Health, as referenced in this blog post: https://blog.verily.com/2019/02/introducing-onefifteen.html
2. Any and all internal documents, including but not limited to emails, reports, presentations, memos, and meeting minutes, relating to OneFifteen.
This request is being made for newsgathering purposes, and the requested documents will be made available to the general public.
WIRED magazine has been a leader in covering new developments in science, technology, and health for more than twenty five years, and there is a strong public interest in public health programs and their operations. As such, we request that any fees assessed be waived, or minimized.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.
Sincerely,
Tom Simonite

Your public records request is ready. It is on a USB, so I would like to mail it to you. What address should I send it to?

One follow up: is there any reason you cannot send these documents as a PDF?
From: Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services
In order to comply with your open records request of any and all internal documents, there are too many to send in a PDF. The USB is now in the mail.
From: Aarian Marshall
Thanks for the info and sending the USB drive. Please let it be noted—and passed on inside the organization—that you processed this request with impressive speed very rare for a public agency and it's heartening to see open records law being so respected.
Thanks,
Tom
