To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Copies of letters submitted under City Ordinance:

Sec. 26-3. - Notice of certain liquor permit renewal applications.
Each person who files an application pursuant to section C.G.S. § 30-39 for renewal of a liquor permit that allows on-premises serving or consumption of alcoholic liquor at a place of business located within the city shall simultaneously give written notice of such liquor permit renewal application to the Danbury Chief of Police or his designee. The chief or his designee may respond in writing, not later than fifteen (15) days after receipt of such notice, to the Commissioner of Consumer Protection, with comments regarding the renewal application that is the subject of such notice.

Please supply responsive documents for Calendar year 2021 - present.

If there are no responsive documents for this time period, please submit documents for any prior year from inception of the ordinance, May, 2015.

If there are exempt documents, please indicate number of documents and applicable FOI exemptions claimed.

I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Kevin Paige
