Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All Health department documents in connection with North American Motorcar, Miry Brook Rd, Danbury, CT including complaints, plans, memorandums, written notes, emails, permit applications and inspections for food service, water, and sewer. from May 1, 2022 to present.
I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

Please confirm that there are no responsive documents for permanent Food Service License for the bar room/lounge area used by patrons. This area was clearly annotated on building plans and inspected for Certificate of Occupancy.
Cocktails and food were being served there during the event that the license in your responsive documents covers. There are pictures with multiple City officials posted on social media of this event where food and cigars were being offered.

Dianne, due to the fact that North American Motorcars opened within the last few months, I do not feel that the scope of this request is broad.
The City has either approved or not approved a customer lounge with bar service or they haven't. Plans were submitted for Certificate of Occupancy within this time frame. Maybe Mr. Esposito would be able to share his experience at the grand opening to clarify this request. I can submit a more expansive list of City officials including City Council Members that might shed some light as well.
Please let me know when I can expect a response. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss.

Good Afternoon Kevin,
North American Motor Car does not hold a food service license with the City
of Danbury Health Department currently. The facility does not have a
kitchen at this time. They did take out a temporary food service license
which I believe we sent over already, but please let me know and I can
share it along again. If this is not what you are inquiring about please
let me know what documents you are requesting.
