The City of Dallas received a public information request from you on 7/1/2020.
This letter is to clarify what information that you are seeking from the City of Dallas. CLARIFICATIONS "Please be aware that the Dallas Police Department cannot be sued in its own name apart from the City.

Please also note that there will be a cost estimate in order to gather the responsive information for your request as it is currently worded. Please let us know if you would like to modify your request to seek only the settlement amounts since January 1, 2010 in connection with federal or state civil rights lawsuits alleging claims against officers of the Dallas Police Department arising from on-duty or off-duty police encounters. This modified request will include the name of the claimant, year settlement paid, and the total amount of money the City paid.”
