Mr. York,

I've left you a couple messages, but haven't heard back. Can you respond to this message and let me know what additional information you need?

Thanks,

Carlton

From: York, Clifford

I was going to inform you that while the story that you referenced in your ORR discussed the "checkpoint of the future" the only items being install as Love Field are "mega-pixel" cameras. The remainder of the concept, is not being installed at DAL. Not sure if this helps what you expect from your request.

From: Carlton Purvis

Mr. York,

I appreciate the information. So just to clarify, there are no existing contracts for iris or fingerprint scanners, a screening tunnel or purchase orders for PassPort or NGlance products? ... That story is confusing, but I understand it now.

In that case, I'm just looking to get the contract for the installation and service of the new cameras.

Thanks for clearing that up,

Carlton

From: York, Clifford

That is correct, cameras only. The contracts are under SSI review by TSA.

From: Carlton Purvis

Thanks,

Looking forward to seeing them.

Carlton

City seeks citizen feedback on annual operating budget

The City of Dallas is offering citizens the opportunity to voice their opinions about a number of important budget issues, from infrastructure improvements to code compliance by completing a quick survey.

This is a way for citizens to have a voice in the Citys budget development process for next fiscal year, and it takes just seven minutes, said Office of Financial Services Director Jack Ireland. The survey asks residents to weigh in on a number of issues, including how they prioritize services such as street maintenance/repair, code compliance, libraries, parks, and police.

Understanding citizen priorities is an important part of developing the operating budget for the City, Ireland said. Citizens perspective is very important.

Deadline to complete the survey is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24. The information will be provided to the City Council for their consideration.
