Pursuant to the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, I hereby request the following documents:
All contracts (and their amendments) and memorandums of understanding entered into by Curry County, New Mexico for services and activities related to the Torrance County Detention Facility (https://www.cca.com/facilities/torrance-county-detention-facility)
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Good Morning,
We apologize for not responding to your request earlier. The County Manager
Lance Pyle is the records custodian of the County and this request went
into a spam filter. The County has a contract with Corrections Corporation
of America (CCA) for the Torrance County Detention Facility. We have
attached the agreement that we have and subsequent modifications to the
contract. Pursuant to County Commission directive, we are to charge $0.25
per page. Because we had these records electronically, we will not charge
for this request. Again, we apologize and please send any future requests
to the County Manager, Lance Pyle, at lpyle@currycounty.org.
