Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:

Written procedures for access to the agency’s public records, including any records request forms required or suggested by the agency.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello, I have submitted an APRA request by email to the Superintendent's email address a number of times since March 31, but have yet to receive any reply per Coventry Public School's obligations under the APRA. You can find the Coventry Public Schools Access to Public Records Act Procedure at the following link. It is listed as policy #1100 in the Coventry Public Schools Policy Manual.

Please accept my apology for no one getting back to you. As you will see in the Policy, we do not accept email requests for public records for exactly this reason. I am sure your email was sent inadvertently to the SPAM filter and thus no one ever saw it.
