Thanks Lisa, as a follow-up to this public records request can you send yearly data on the total number of people force was used against from 2013-17?

Thank you,

Sam

From: Corona Police Department

The response was sent on Thursday, October 4th. Please let me know if you did not receive it.

From: Samuel Sinyangwe

Yes, I received the response but noted that I’m still requesting data on the total number of subjects per year that force was used against from 2013-17. Note that this is different from the total number of *types of force* that were used (since multiple types of force can be used on a single subject). Please send me the data on subjects force was used on.

Thanks,

Sam

I may not be clear as to what you asked for previously or is this a new request? In your previous request, #1 was the total number of uses of force (I gave you that), by type of force used (I gave you that) and separated by year (I gave you that). #2 was total number of use of force complaints (I gave you that) and #3 was sustained use of force complaints (I gave you that). I do not have a request asking for the “total number of subjects per year that force was used against from 2013-2017. Was that in a separate request that you sent? Please clarify.

I will consider this a new request and start compiling the data.

From: Corona Police Department

Listed below is the total number of subjects per year that force was used against from 2013-17 –

2017: 62
2016: 79
2015: 80
2014: 67
2013: 60
