Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 to 11), I hereby request the following:

All visitation records for both Det. Richard P. Zuley (star number 15185) and Sergeant Tom Keane (#811) to the Cook County Jail during the following months: 6/18/1989 through 11/3/1989. For visits during this time period, please include documents sufficient to show:
1. What calendar days the two officers visited the jail, both together and separately
2. The duration of their time in the jail on each day they visited
3. All officers accompanying Zuley and/or Keane during their visits
4. All inmates they met with during their visits
5. All available details of meetings between Zuley and/or Keane and inmates

The requester of these documents is a journalist with publishing rights at every major Chicago publication and a number of national and international publications. Parts of the requested documents are likely to be made available to the general public in a news report. As such, under the law, this request is not being made for "commercial purposes." Thus, I request a fee waiver and expedited processing.

If you have the ability to "convert" whatever file(s) you obtain into a format readable by a standard text editor (.txt, .doc or similar), I request that you do this for me as a professional courtesy.
