Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Responsive documents should be from the date 1 January, 2021 to the day this request is fulfilled. All agency emails pertaining to the internal processing of CCW applications. Any information prohibited from public release shall be redacted from the email to facilitate full transparency of departmental processes. To be clear private information does not preclude the email from being provided, simply redact the specific information and provide the email, even if that means the body of the email is fully redacted. At a minimum, I require all emails to and from "ccwpermits@so.cccounty.us", "PEnea001@so.cccounty.us", "csqui001@so.cccounty.us", and correspondence with the following list of terms in the subject and/or body of any department email address communication (not case sensitive). "CCW" "Concealed" "Carry" "CCW Permit" "Good Cause" "Bruen" "NYSRPA"
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

There have been regular emails sent at two week intervals for nearly two months requesting updates with no response.
I would like an update regarding the estimated date of release of responsive records.

The Sheriff's Office has received your email communication dated March 1, 2023, requesting an update on the estimated release of the responsive records, in connection to your Public Records Act request.
While we are a busy law enforcement agency providing service to Contra Costa County, and we handle numerous inquiries from the public, we do understand, and appreciate, your interest in receiving these records and we will provide them to you at our soonest opportunity.
In response to your request for an updated time frame, we can advise that the Sheriff’s Office anticipates that the disclosable records, with redactions made pursuant to the previously stated exemptions, will be available for release to you during the week of March 20-24, 2023.

Unfortunately, these records were not available today. We had previously provided, to the best of our ability, an estimation on when this was projected to be available for release, however, due to some unexpected circumstances the estimation will require further modification.
The Sheriff’s Office is committed to resolving your request and will determine during next week if we can provide, at a minimum, a batch of the records (in email-compatible transmissions), in an effort to produce records on a rolling release until this is fully completed.
