Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:
The number of tickets and amount of money generated by tickets given at DUI checkpoints during Spring Weekend (April 24-27) 2014 at the University of Connecticut Storrs campus.
I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. ยง 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

I need to get further information regarding the above-referenced request in order for me to provide you with the information. You have requested "the number of tickets and amount of money generated by tickets given at DUI checkpoints during Spring weekend in 2014 at the UConn Storrs campus". I need to limit the area a little better in order for us to search it in our system. Are you looking for all tickets issued in the Town of Mansfield that weekend? Or are you looking for all tickets given out a checkpoints only on that weekend? And if you are referring only to checkpoints, are you referring only to those that were set up in the Town of Mansfield or are you referring to neighboring Towns as well? Or do you want us to search the area around the Storrs campus and provide ticket information for that area only, regardless of whether or not there was a checkpoint or not. I just need to pinpoint a specific location in order to have the search run.

This is still a work in progress. Unfortunately, I have had to reach out to multiple departments to determine who can best provide the information in response to your request. What I can tell you so far is that in order to obtain the money generated from tickets, you will need to contact the Centralized Infraction Bureau. Their contact information is as follows:
