From: Bert Klasey

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:

Emails to, from, or between Connecticut Lottery employees pertaining to, or mentioning the name "Adam Osmond."

I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Bert Klasey

Dear Mr. Klasey,

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (the "CLC") acknowledges receipt of your request under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act (the "Act").

Our preliminary search has identified approximately 1,000 e-mails. In order to expedite our handling of your request, we would appreciate you clarifying it by responding to these questions:

1. Are you interested in receiving all attachments to the e-mails?

2. Is there a particular subject matter by which you might narrow your request?

Once we hear back from you, we will examine the e-mails for responsiveness to your clarified request and potential exemptions under the Act and provide you with a schedule for producing the responsive e-mails as promptly as reasonably possible under all the circumstances.

The CLC reserves all, and does not waive any, of its rights and defenses in connection with your request. Thank you.

Hello Ms Glovach,

Thank you for your reply. You can exclude any emails pertaining to FOIA requests from Mr. Osmond. This should reduce the number of emails significantly. Let me know if you need further detail regarding that. If the number is still very high, please let me know and I can look in to narrowing further.

Best,

Bert Klasey

Thank you, Mr. Klasey, for that narrowing of your request. I, too, would expect a significant reduction in the number of e-mails to be potentially produced. Kindly respond as well to my request about attachments.

Also, have you had an opportunity yet to consider my request for narrowing vis-à-vis your Rick Green FOI request? Your response to that e-mail would be helpful as well.

As always, the CLC reserves all, and does not waive any, of its rights and defenses in connection with your requests. Thank you very much for your prompt response on this request and your anticipated reply re: the Rick Green request.

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on Nov. 26, 2013. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

From: Lana Glovach

Dear Mr. Klasey,

Thank you for your follow up e-mail. As noted in my December 12th letter to you in connection with one of your other requests, we have begun to print these e-mails and review them for responsiveness and any potentially applicable exemptions. Because of other pressing business matters and holiday/vacation schedules, I anticipate sending you the initial round of responsive documents during the week of January 6th, with others to follow periodically and on an on-going basis.

As always, the CLC reserves all, and does not waive any, of its rights and defenses in connection with this matter.

Best wishes for the holidays --

Dear Mr. Klasey,

Non-exempt, responsive e-mails for calendar year 2013 were mailed to you on January 7th, and the calendar year 2012 e-mails are being mailed to you today. We expect to mail the calendar year 2011 e-mails next week, with the calendar year 2010 e-mails shortly thereafter. That would conclude our production in response to your request.

In the interim, the CLC reserves all, and does not waive any, of its rights and defenses in connection with your requests. Thank you --
