Mary,
Is there a different department that issues the entertainment licenses referred to?

From: Kevin Paige

Mary,
Here is the reference to entertainment licenses that I am requesting.

Is this ordinance still in force?

Kevin Paige

From: Kevin Paige

Mary,
According to the Danbury Code of Ordinances, 26-50 states that "An application is required to be submitted to and approved by the City to provide entertainment in all establishments." (DRZ)
It continues to state "A license shall be valid for three (3) years from the date of issuance unless there is a change in the licensee, in which case a new application shall be submitted, including payment of all fees, and approved prior to the commencement of any applicable activity after the change; or the license is revoked pursuant to section 26-47."

I do not understand how there can be no responsive documents. I would like to know what licenses are in force.

Regards,
Kevin Paige

From: Zoning Danbury

Kevin-

You requested a "list of current entertainment licenses as of April 1,
2022. . . " The P&Z Department has no such list of current licenses as of
April 1, 2022, and thus has no responsive documents.

Sincerely,

Dianne Rosemark

Dianne,
The responsive documents would include all licenses issued within three years of April 1, 2022. A cursory search of those licenses would satisfy this request as they have a three year expiration. Is that data you could provide or should I make a separate FOI request?

Kevin Paige

From: Zoning Danbury

Kevin:

You initially asked for a list of all current entertainment licenses and we
responded that we have no such list. We have no current entertainment
licenses as of April 1, 2022.

Sincerely,

Dianne Rosemark
