From: Carly Sitrin

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:

I request all relevant documents including but not limited to: license histories and certifications of all registered Bail Enforcement Agents (also known as BEA's, Bounty Hunters, bail agents, recovery agents, bail recovery agents, skip tracers, or fugitive recovery agents) and bail bondsmen licensed (or recognized) by the state.

If possible, I also request a complete list of all revoked, terminated, expired, or out-of-date bail enforcement licenses.

I also request that, if possible and pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. ยง 1-212(d), fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest and not made for commercial gain. The requested documents will be processed by a representative of the news media/press and made available to the public at MuckRock.com.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 4 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Carly Sitrin

The request is in progress. It is not possible to estimate when the records will be provided to you. The agency receives more than 1,000 records requests per year. We process them as quickly as possible given staffing in the offices of the custodians of the records and the Legal Affairs Unit, which must review all records requests for discloseability. Requests are processed in the order that they are received.
