Dear Alex:

Regarding your FOIA request emailed to us on February 10, 2021, I attempted to contact you in March via the email address listed on your request to attempt to obtain clarification of the terms of your request relating to e-cigarettes and vaping communications.

Although I did not hear back from you, we did perform a search through our files for records that I surmised that you may be seeking. Our search identified 1,597 records (many of which could included multiple attachments), that have a data size of about 1.69 GB. This is a very large volume of records.

Some of these records may be exempt from disclosure under or FOIA laws and our common law privileges; but that being said, there still could be a huge volume of documents that you may not want to or need to review. It will also require tremendous resources on our end to review the documents for exemptions and privileges.

A very good option, again, would be for you to contact me so that we can discuss the specific (non-exempt) records that we can provide to you.

You can call or email me anytime. 860-808-5203.
