Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

Body camera footage, dash camera footage, backseat video footage of transport to jail, and any other forms of video footage recorded from all law enforcement present regarding the arrest of Ashley Jean Naylor on September 9, 2020, including footage from the initial observation of "a female near the intersection of Bascom Norris and US 90," to the transport of Ms. Naylor to the Columbia County Jail.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

You stated that this case was "made by the county drug task force and [that] their vehicles do not have cameras and [that] they do not wear body cams." This request for body camera footage is premised off the police report, whereupon Officer Garrett Register, LC 284, stated that Ms. Naylor's "[i]nterview was documented on body camera." The arrest report with Officer Garrett's statement is attached, and the above quoted section is highlighted for your convenience.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office has no video files reference this case. The officer mentioned in the arrest report does not work for our agency and is a member of the Lake City Police Department as I mentioned in the September 21 response. Lake City PD does participate with our agency on the County Drug Task force, but they maintain there video records independent of our agency. I'm sorry for the confusion, I should have made it clearer that our personnel (CCSO detectives) on the task force do not wear body cameras. Attached are the response I sent to you about this request.
