Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All available reports related to the distribution of intrauterine devices (IUD) by the State of Colorado

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

I acknowledge receipt of your Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) request.

I would like to ask a point of clarification about your phrase "IUD distribution". Colorado Medicaid pays claims to enrolled providers who perform treatment and/or medical services. Therefore any responsive records we may have would relate to the payment of claims to a provider for an IUD. The Department does not actually distribute medical items or treatments. Can you please clarify you request?

And if you do wish to see claims records for payment of medical services, can you please indicate a time period? Without a specified time period, your request is so broad that I would estimate hours to exceed the two free hours of research we provide.

I look forward to your clarification so that we can provide you with the records you seek. Thank you.

The department has no public documents responsive to your request for "reports related to the distribution of intrauterine devices by the State of Colorado".
