From: Randi Minetor

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

The criminal arrest record of Edgar J. (or A.) Watson, 1890-1910. I am looking specifically for record of his being accused of killing a man named Tucker and his nephew who were squatters on his land on Lostman's Key. I don't know the exact year of this possible arrest; my reference is "The Story of Chokoloskee Bay Country" by Charles W. Tebeau, published in 1955. Any other arrests or accusations of murder, whether or not he was found guilty, would also be helpful. I am an author working on a book about crime in the Everglades.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Sincerely,

Randi Minetor
