Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all communications (electronic, hard copy, or otherwise), associated attachments, and related files sent to and from any employee, representative, or other officials of the Clayton County Police Department mentioning: Manuel Esteban Paez Terán,” “Tortuguita,” “Tort,” between January 1st, 2021, and the date on which this request is processed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Good Afternoon,
I received a response from our IT department. They advised they located 250 emails.
A review of our database has been conducted for any available information pertaining to your request. After the first fifteen minutes, you will be charged for the time required to inspect and prepare the records at the lowest hourly pay rate of a person who could complete this task. Upon initial review of the database, I estimate that it will take 2.5 hours to search, retrieve, inspect and compile the file as necessary. The lowest hourly rate of the person who can complete this task is $16.37 for a labor cost of $41.32. There is a fee of $15.00 to obtain a flash drive of this information. This type of information cannot be emailed.
There is a $5.00 certified mailing fee to cover shipping and handling which puts the total estimated cost of this request at $61.32
We have received a large amount of request and are currently in a large backlog. There is an 8 week completion time for all request. The estimated completion time for this request will be 6 weeks from the date of approval.
Based on the estimate provided, please advise if you wish to move forward with this request.
If we do not receive a response to this request for an approval on an estimate within 10 business days from this date, April 13, 2023 this request will be considered closed. Any future requests for information will need to be requested through a new Open Records Request.

Upon reviewing our documents, I see that an estimate was provided on, March 30, 2023 awaiting approval for processing. As of today April 15, 2023, we have not received a response and accordingly this request is now closed.
Should you need to acquire this information in the future you may send a new request and we will process accordingly.
