From: Clark County Coroner's Office

Attached is information you requested from the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner. Please note this list will only include cases where the decedent has been identified and their legal next of kin has been notified. It is important to note that this report is based on preliminary information received by the Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner and will only include deaths the coroner’s office investigated in which we could not identify a place of residence for the decedent. For this reason, the report could include individuals who were not homeless. Also, this report does not include deaths that were not investigated by the coroner’s office. For example, a homeless individual who was hospitalized for some time before his or her death, and so was under the care of a doctor, would not be on this list. You may want to check with the Southern Nevada Health District if you haven’t done so already to see what additional data it may be able to provide. Additionally, your request for autopsy records of all individuals who passed away from 2018-2022, poses significant challenges for our office. It would entail staff having to manually pull over a thousand reports and then redacting confidential information that is not subject to state public records laws. Such a request would take us many months to process. Please let me know if the attached information satisfies your request. If there are some specific cases you are interested in receiving more information about, please let me know which ones and I will check with the Coroner’s Office on an estimated time to provide the records and any related costs.
